Colorado Regulatory Reporter

Chartrand Law offers a subscription service to business owners, agricultural interests, trade associations, local governments, law firms and others so that they can efficiently monitor and engage in the regulatory activities of state and federal agencies.

The Reporter monitors the regulatory activities of the following agencies:

Colorado Agencies

  • All Department of Natural Resources divisions

  • The environmental divisions within the Department of Public Health and Environment

  • Colorado Energy Office

  • Department of Agriculture

  • The Department of Regulatory Agencies’ Division of Conservation and the Conservation Easement Oversight Committee.

Federal Agencies (regulatory activities impacting Colorado)

  • Environmental Protection Agency

  • The following agencies within the Department of Agriculture: Forest Service, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Rural Development and Farm Service Agency

  • Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ)

  • The following agencies within the Department of Interior: Bureau of Reclamation, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement, and Geological Society (USGS)

  • Department of Energy

The Reporter service includes a monthly update of proposed rules with comment deadlines, final rules and effective dates, and other important regulatory directives including related executive orders. The Reporter service will also include a monthly calendar of Colorado commission/board meetings, federal agency rulemaking public comment sessions, and comment deadlines and “Weekly Watch” email communications with regulatory activities and updates.
